Inspired by my childhood in Dubai, I recall a pivotal moment at the age of seven when I designed my first custom abaya. I vividly remember asking my father for an abaya. He took me to his friend’s abaya shop, where I shared my vision with the tailor and asked for a red lining and a velvety floral design.

As I grew older, I found myself longing for abayas that seamlessly blended tradition with modern fashion. Realizing these designs weren’t easily accessible, I took a leap of faith. I flew to Dubai, collaborated with skilled manufacturers virtually from Chicago, and handpicked fabrics, colors, and intricate details to create the pieces I had always envisioned.

The name Bint Irfan, which means "Daughter of Irfan"—is deeply personal to me. My story is rooted in who I am, and a big part of that story is my father, Irfan. He was the one who left Pakistan to build a life in Dubai, and he was the one who took me to that tailor shop where my journey with abayas began. I proudly stand tall as the daughter of Irfan, carrying forward the values and inspiration he instilled in me.

For me, modest fashion is about embracing who you are with confidence and grace, without ever compromising your values.
